TRIP OVERVIEW

In the Nainital district of Uttarakhand lies the Jim Corbett National Park, which is part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve. For its tiger abundance, Corbett ‘s mystical ecosystem is well known and fabled. Established as Hailey National Park in 1936, Corbett has the distinction of becoming the oldest and most prestigious National Park in India. As the location where Project Tiger was first launched in 1973, it is also being honoured. The father who gave birth to the Project Tiger in India to protect the most endangered species and the Royal of India called Tigers is well known for this special tiger territory.

The entire region encompasses an area of 520 square kilometres and consists of hills, marshy depressions, river belts, grasslands and large lakes. It is one of India’s few tiger reserves that allows for overnight stays in the National Park ‘s lap. In the park, nature watching and wildlife viewing is performed in an open four wheeler Jeep and on the back of an elephant. The National Park is one of the most sought after destinations for wildlife enthusiasts, sheltering a stable population of tigers and endangered animals such as otters and the native fish eating crocodile. Dhikala, located on the edge of the vast Patil Dun valley, is Corbett’s most popular destination due to its superb location and sheer abundance of wildlife.

If you love to watch birds, then Corbett is a virtual sanctuary for tourists like that. The neighbouring area of Corbett is home to more than 650 resident species and migratory birds. In particular, Dhikala is a good place to search for prey birds, and more than 50 species of raptors alone demonstrate the area’s healthy biodiversity.Their multiplex conduct is interesting and the ear is very pleased with their varied songs. In short, India’s finest national park is well known for its rich and varied wildlife, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, elephants, four to five species of deer and rich birdlife.
