Chandigarh is a remarkable growth epitome that co-exists with the protection of nature. Serenity and a community are two diametrically opposed terms, but in the ‘City Lovely’ they are refused. The trees and vegetation are as much a feature of the construction plans as the houses and the roads are here. The first planned city of India is an affluent, successful, spicy and spany, green city rightly called “BEAUTIFUL CITY.”
In 1963, Kullu was proclaimed a district of Punjab and it became a district of Himachal Pradesh on November 1, 1966. All the present government houses, hospitals and government bungalows were constructed around the Dhalpur grounds (near Sultanpur, the old capital) in the British period. Kullu, formerly Sultanpur, a town in northwestern India, central Himachal Pradesh state, was also spelled Kulu. It lies on the Beas River, to which it is connected by train, about 60 miles (100 km) north of Shimla, the state capital.
Kulumanali should be perfect for someone who wants to see snow in winter. Great for lovers, for fans of fun, for family holidays. Ideal for people in North India, but Manali sees visitors as well as foreigners from all over the world. Kullu is a wonderful tourist spot to visit. Sitting on the banks of the Beas River and overlooking the magnificent Himalayas, it is situated in the Kully Valley. The town is surrounded by forests of deodar and oak, and limitless views of steep valleys. Holiday resorts, local markets, and temples are packed with it.
